Picus Security, a San Francisco, CA-based security validation company, raised $45M in funding. The round, which brought total funds raised to $80M, was led by Riverwood Capital, with participation from existing investor Earlybird Digital East Fund.

Metabase Q, an IT cybersecurity management company based in San Francisco, has raised $11M in its Series A extension funding. Backers include SYN Ventures and John Watters.

Backers included BackingMinds, in combination with industry veterans such as Jesper Zerlang (ex-CEO of Logpoint), Lars Ankjer, Otto Krabbe, Rolf Bladt, and several angels and key employees.

Protect AI, a Seattle-based AI and ML security company, raised $60M in Series B funding led by Evolution Equity Partners, with participation from 01 Advisors, StepStone Group, Samsung, and existing investors.

Cytactic, an Israel-based provider of a platform pioneering cyber crisis readiness and management, raised $16M in a seed funding round led by Evolution Equity Partners. It intends to use the funds to expand operations and development efforts.

Aim Security, an Israel-based company enabling the secure adoption and use of AI in enterprises, raised $18M in Series A funding. The round, which brought the total amount to $28M, was led by Canaan Partners, with participation from YL Ventures.

The healthcare cybersecurity services company intends to use the funds to broaden its offerings, including capabilities such as healthcare threat intelligence and automated response.

After the transaction, the business will operate independently as an application security testing software provider, with the current management team expected to lead the new entity.

Anetac, a startup protecting companies from blind spots of service accounts in hybrid environments, raised $16M in funding. The round was led by Liberty Global with participation from Shield Capital, GP Ventures, Anetac CEO Tim Eades and Jason Witty.

KnowBe4, a Tampa Bay, FL-based provider of security awareness training and simulated phishing platform, is to acquire Egress Software Technologies, a London, UK-based company that specializes in adaptive and integrated cloud email security.
