Fraudster stole over $1.5 million from city of Baltimore

A BEC attack targeting the City of Baltimore resulted in the theft of over $1.5 million through fraudulent EFTs. The attacker impersonated a legitimate vendor and manipulated internal processes to redirect payments to unauthorized accounts.
