Enhanced XCSSET Malware Targets MacOS Users with Advanced Obfuscation

The malware uses both hexdump and Base64 encoding to obfuscate its payloads, making static analysis difficult. It also checks for the version of XProtect, macOS’s built-in antivirus, to evade detection.
